World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.
For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before a component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade component that is that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.
The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much it will increase after a future reset.
If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a high chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failed upgrade will cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that increase or even eliminate the chances of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give a bonus when reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.
You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the best way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components which can be upgraded to level 15 and give a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs and there are also a few rare glyphs to be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Utilizing a Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance an Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but you should also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes too.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets leveled up.
Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item. Once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player upgrade a piece of equipment it will be replaced by the new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage since the item may be more expensive even if you don't need it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a totally different set of bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can use up many resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player continuously enters or exits water. The item can be upgraded several times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as the best version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.
Requirements
The item upgrader allows players to raise the level of their equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. upgrade item will cause the item to return to its initial state which means that the player has to pay for more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained, such as crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.
Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For example they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade will require the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
